2010 – 2011
On behalf of the Tennessee Chapter of HFMA, welcome to our Website! This site provides you with the latest information on events, activities, and news related to our Chapter and National HFMA, the nation’s leading healthcare finance professional organization.
The leadership of the Tennessee Chapter has embraced this year’s theme of STEP UP, selected by National HFMA’s 2010/2011 Chair, Debora Kuchka-Craig. When you consider the term STEP UP, several thoughts may come to mind. In our profession of healthcare finance, though, these words have special meaning.
Our industry continues to be challenged by a number of factors and influences, from the need to improve quality and reduce costs, to understanding healthcare reform and its impact on our organizations. We should all recognize that where issues exist, so too are tremendous opportunities. We must STEP UP to address the challenges head on and seize the opportunities for the future success of our industry and organizations.
To that end, the leaders of the Tennessee Chapter are committed to stepping up to make our Chapter the best it can be for all stakeholders. We’ve planned great educational sessions this year, focused on topics of significant importance to our Members and extending our commitment to quality, low-cost education. We’ve designed new initiatives to better serve and communicate with our Members. We’ve also revitalized our Corporate Sponsorship Program, CONNECTIONS, which provides numerous opportunities and substantial value to Sponsors.
To enhance your professional development and involvement with HFMA, let me encourage you to actively participate with us: Attend as many HFMA educational meetings, seminars, and Webinars as you can; become a member of a Chapter meeting planning committee; or join one of our Chapter leadership committees.
The bottom line is this: We need you to maintain a leading position in the world of healthcare finance, but with so much change occurring and anticipated in our industry, you need HFMA now more than ever. So stay active, get involved, and maximize your membership.
